Fox Forensic Anthropology Quiz

Fox recently put a forensic anthropology quiz online to test your case solving skill. The questions offer a good mix of biological and broader, discipline-specific questions.
One of my favorite facets to authoring a popular series is that so many people are exposed to a new skill set that they may never have encountered. Above all, I am passionate about teaching and nurturing students who are interested in my field. I think, as humans, we have a natural proclivity to… Read more

Starred Review of Seizure on Kirkus

I’m happy to say that Kirkus Reviews has given Seizure a starred review. I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer that “these characters are keepers.”
Starred reviews are handed out to books that are deemed to be of remarkable merit only. We were excited when Virals was given a star last year and we’re ecstatic to now have received praise for another book from the Virals series.
To read the full review head over to Kirkus  (The World’s Toughest Book Critics).… Read more

Fun Email from a Reader

Dear Dr. Reichs,
My name is James Lennox, and I am currently a professor of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh. That has nothing to do with this email however, which is related to the fact that my grandmother’s maiden name was Opal Labillois. My father spent his summers in Dalhousie living with his grandparents. His grandfather, with whom he spent every day during those summers, was Charles Labillois, the owner of the general store and… Read more
